NDIS
What Is The NDIS? The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life. The NDIS also connects anyone with a disability to services in their community. This includes connections to doctors, community groups, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as providing information about what support is provided by each state and territory government. The NDIS now supports over 500,000 Australians with disability to access the services and supports they need. This includes supporting approximately 80,000 children with developmental delay, ensuring they receive supports early so that they achieve the best outcomes throughout their lives. - From the NDIS website
How do I know if I am eligible for NDIS? You may be eligible if you live in Australia, are an Australian citizen or hold a Permanent or Special Category Visa; are aged under 65 years; and have a permanent and significant disability. Click the button to answer some simple questions to see if you may be eligible for the NDIS.
How do I apply for NDIS? To apply for the NDIS you will need to complete an Access Request Form. You will need to include information about your disability and how it impacts on your day-to-day life. You may need to ask your treating health professional to fill out and sign certain parts of the form. Download the Access Request Form or speak with the NDIS on 1800 800 110. Our team can also assist people to understand how to access the Scheme.
